DigitalPersona Places Identity Protection at People's Fingertips

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- DigitalPersona, Inc., the leader in fingerprint identity solutions, today announced DigitalPersona Personal 4.0, an easy-to-use identity protection suite for individuals, family members and business users. DigitalPersona Personal 4.0 is the first identity protection suite to use biometrics, letting people use their fingerprints to access online accounts -- including email, banking, shopping, and other Web sites -- to provide a critical, additional layer of security against identity theft. The patent-pending software also provides optional protection for people's personal files, photographs, financial records and other sensitive information. DigitalPersona Personal 4.0 supports swipe-style sensors built into notebook computers as well as add-on peripherals such as the company's new U.are.U(R) 4500 line of high-performance touch readers.
