2000 Spring Meeting: Sessions and abstracts online

nclude "ucla." The search key word "Affiliation" covers both names of institutions and their locations (e.g., look for either University of Arizona or Tucson under Affiliation).

Press Conferences

We are in the process of organizing a series of press conferences related to significant scientific news that will be reported at the Meeting. In addition, a number of science policy press conferences will be keyed to sessions on relevant topics. Some of the latter will be of interest to political reporters and Washington bureau staffers who may not normally attend science meetings.

We anticipate sending an advisory containing a preliminary listing of press conferences on or about May 1. This will be followed around May 15 with an update, which will include the exact time for each press conference and the names and affiliations of participants.

Press Registration

Advance press registration is recommended, to avoid lines on the first day of the meeting. Instructions and eligibility requirements, along with a registration form, will be found in AGU Release No. 00-03 at http://www.agu.org/sci_soc/prrl/prrl0003.html. To access the form directly, go to http://www.agu.org/sci_soc/prrl/sm00pressreg.html. It may be returned online, by e-mail, fax, or through the post. It may also be taken to the meeting for on site registration. We expect to send Abstract books soon after May 9 to those press registrants who have requested them.
