400 never-before published findings to be presented at pharmacology conference

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL -- The nation's leading pharmacologists and researchers on the impact of drugs on the body will gather from March 6-10 at the annual meeting of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT).

Among the more than 400, never-before published findings to be presented:

  • Nicotine's ability to increase brain alertness
  • Under treatment of Nursing Home Residents for osteoporosis
  • Migraine pain effectively treated with topical medication
  • How the "New Year's Resolution" phenomenon impacts AIDS patients' adherence to drug therapy
  • Establishment of a Registry for Drugs that can trigger serious heart problems
  • How drugs for hypertension improve mental ability
