AIUM recognizes new investigators in ultrasound

PHOENIX, AZ - The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) will hold a scientific session presenting the research of the 2004 New Investigator Award nominees at the AIUM Annual Convention at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. The New Investigator Award was designed to encourage new clinical investigators to gain experience with performing and presenting ultrasound research early in their academic careers.

The award with a prize of $1000, will be presented to the new investigator (resident, fellow, faculty member, or sonographer in practice fewer than 5 years) who presents the best scientific abstract.

The following 6 presentations have been nominated for the 2004 New Investigator Award. The winner will be announced at the AIUM Board of Governors banquet on the evening of Tuesday, June 22, and will be subsequently posted on the AIUM website at http://www.aium.org.
