WHAT: Addressing the Healthcare Needs of Our Aging Population with Technology is a one-day symposium designed to focus on the role of computer, communication and other electronic technologies to improve the quality and cost-efficiency of geriatric care. Spearheaded by IEEE-USA's Medical Technology Policy Committee and its Geriatric Working Group, four sessions will be held to identify: needs, problems; technologies; public policy, regulatory and legislative issues, barriers and inhibitors; and perspectives, next steps. The symposium findings and recommendations will be compiled in a report for legislators, policy experts and regulators aimed at supporting a unified national home health care agenda.
