Following the release of the Bush Administration's proposed budget on April 9, the forum will be providing an opportunity for guests and speakers to discuss this FY 2002's allocation of federal funds for R & D. Each of the speakers will be present different perspectives on R & D in the proposed budget and will then respond to questions.
The WSPA is a loosely-knit coalition of institutions that has assumed responsibility of the seminar series formerly run by George Washington University's Center for International Science and Technology Policy and AAAS Directorate for Science & Policy Programs. The next WSPA seminar will be an evening lecture/discussion on "A European Perspective on Genetically-Modified Foods" on April 25.
