1. Introduction

The 115th Annual Meeting of the Geological Society of America takes place November 2-5, 2003, at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle. Approximately 7000 geoscientists from around the world are expected to attend. More than 3800 speakers will participate in 263 technical sessions and symposia, covering recent advances in all fields of geoscience.

2. Science at the Meeting

Presentations at "Geoscience Horizons" cover topics from mega-events on Mars to geomicrobiology here on Earth. The meeting also reflects GSA's continued commitment to Earth system processes and integrative science. A number of sessions bring geoscience together with biology, chemistry, ecology, medicine, and other scientific disciplines.

PLEASE NOTE: THE TECHNICAL PROGRAM BEGINS ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2, AND ALL TALKS ARE EMBARGOED UNTIL THE DAY OF PRESENTATION.
