MADISON, WI, NOV. 13, 2003 Eleven members have received the honor of Fellow of the Crops Science Society of America (CSSA). The prestigious awards were presented at the 2003 Annual Meetings of CSSA, held in conjunction with the American Society of Agronomy (ASA) and the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) from Nov. 2-6, in Denver, CO. Named as Fellows are:

• David J. Mackill, head of the Division of Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Biochemistry at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), the Philippines.
• Dwain W. Meyer, Professor, Plant Sciences, North Dakota State University.
• Russell E. Mullen, Professor of Agronomy, and a faculty member of the Graduate Program in Sustainable Agriculture, Iowa State University.
• Vangimalla R. Reddy, Research Leader and Plant Physiologist, USDA-ARS Alternate Crops and Systems Laboratory, Plant Sciences Institute, Beltsville Agricultural Research Center, Beltsville, MD.
• Dennis E. Rowe, Research Leader and Geneticist, USDA-ARS Waste Management and Forage Research Unit at Mississippi State, MS.
• Shree P. Singh, Professor of Plant Breeding and Genetics, University of Idaho.
• Bent Skovmand, Head, Wheat Genetic Resources Program, the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), Mexico.
• Jeffrey J. Steiner, Research Agronomist at the USDA-ARS, National Forage Seed Production Research Center, Corvallis, OR.
