New Tool For Food And Health Reporters And Communicators

(Washington, D.C.--March 3, 1999) The new Food Insight Media Guide on Food Safety and Nutrition--an invaluable tool for reporters and professionals dealing with food and health-related communications--is available from the International Food Information Council (IFIC) Foundation. The Media Guide is free to credentialed media. Non-media can order the Media Guide for $95.95.

This resource, a binder filled with 16 chapters and over 250 pages, covers a wealth of nutrition and food safety information on such topics as food biotechnology, functional foods, caffeine, sugars, food allergy, and oral health, just to name a few. And, the Media Guide identifies some 200 independent scientific experts who are able to provide commentary in their field of expertise.

"Very well organized. Whoever is responsible for creating it should be congratulated. It's very helpful, very user-friendly. I was on deadline and working on a story in an area I'm unfamiliar with, and it brought me to you." -Reporter, National Public Radio
