Washington, DC - January 16, 1999 -New research on the impact of coral reef disease, human health risks in the ocean, and a discussion with CERN and NASA leaders of two international science projects - the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the International Space Station (ISS) - will be featured in live broadcasts on the Internet during the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) January 21-26 in Anaheim, California.
The briefings will be accessible only by reporters and public information officers who are registered users of EurekAlert!. Users will be able to submit questions to the participants online. Each briefing will last approximately one hour. The briefings are a first-time experiment for AAAS and we will seek feedback from the online audience.
