Organization for Human Brain Mapping 2003 Annual Meeting

Explosive growth and dramatic new findings continue to characterize the field of functional brain imaging - the method by which brain activity can be observed in awake, behaving organisms, including human beings. The latest developments in this field will be presented at the annual meeting of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City, June 18-22, 2003. This is the primary meeting at which brain imaging researchers throughout the world present their most recent and exciting findings.

The full span of neuroscience applications will be covered, ranging from research on perception, cognition, emotion, development and aging to clinical research on brain disorders such as schizophrenia and Alzheimer's Disease. In addition to 1600+ poster presentations, four member-initiated symposia, and six keynote lectures preceding paper platform sessions, the meeting will include a special plenary lecture by Eric Kandel, 2000 Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine, with a presidential symposium on integration of neuroimaging with computer modeling of brain function.

The full meeting program and the abstracts will be available next week on our website at www.humanbrainmapping.org.
