Pristine Congo rain forest to spared from logging

Officials to make announcement at Bronx Zoos Congo Gorilla Forest Exhibit

WHAT: Officials from the Wildlife Conservation Society, the Republic of Congo and CIB will announce the protection of what scientists are calling the most pristine rain forest left in Africa. This is the first time a logging company working in Africa has voluntarily turned over virgin forest in the name of conservation.

Spectacular footage of wild gorillas, chimpanzees and other wildlife living in this extremely unique area, as well as photos and maps, will be available to media.
