Rutgers awarded $2 million NSF grant for documentary IMAX film on exotic life at ocean's hydrothermal vents

Rutgers has been awarded a $2 million grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to produce a large-format film, "Volcanoes of the Abyss," which will document -- for the first time in high-resolution format -- the giant tube worms and other exotic life forms found near the ocean floor's boiling hot hydrothermal vents.
