The day-and-a- half Summit on Innovation in Endoscopy will feature a chance for interactive dialogue with academicians, government representatives, healthcare leaders, industry suppliers, researchers, and venture capitalists.
The ASGE President, David J. Bjorkman, MD, MSPH, SM (Epid), Dean of the University of Utah School of Medicine, stated, "The ASGE is very pleased to be hosting our first national interactive Summit. Speakers representing industry, government and healthcare will examine the gastrointestinal specialty of endoscopy from the perspectives of its impact on patient outcomes today, the emerging clinical techniques of tomorrow, and the exciting future of the field in both technology changes and better patient care.
Harvard Business School Professor Clayton Christensen, DBA MBA, will be the keynote speaker on the topic of the "Disruptive Forces in the Future of Healthcare." His consulting firm, Innosight, has helped hundreds of organizations develop new strategies in the face of "disruptive innovations."
