International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation 27th Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions

The 27th Annual Meeting and Scientific Session of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) will be held at the Hilton Hotel in San Francisco, April 25-28, 2007.

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM

Attending media will have access to original research from transplant-related clinical trials and stimulating scientific debate. ISHLT expects more than 2,000 attendees from around the world, including surgeons, physicians, scientists, transplant coordinators, nurses and other related industry representatives. Scientific highlights from the meeting include:

  • New research on the challenges and developing solutions for organ allocation
  • Medical device alternatives to heart transplantation facing a shortage of organ donors
  • The application of nanotechnology in transplantation
  • New discoveries in pulmonary hypertension
  • Immunosuppression finding the right drug cocktail after cardiac transplantation
