Hours of operation: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. PST, Wednesday, Feb. 4 for onsite registration; 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. PST, Thursday and Friday; and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. PST, Saturday, Feb. 7.
Reporters must supply their own computers. Limited internet access will be available.
News Conferences:
There will be daily news conferences beginning at 8 a.m. PST on Thursday, 8 a.m. PST on Friday and 9 a.m. PST on Saturday in room 33C.
Media availabilities:
Scientists whose research is described in the news releases prepared by the American Heart Association are being asked to meet with reporters at specific times. Media availabilities will be held Wednesday and Thursday in room 33C. Presentation times will be given to you at registration.
News releases and news tips:
The American Heart Association has prepared nine news releases and 17 news tips.
Embargo: Times are posted on each release. All times are Pacific Standard.
Video news release: A video news release, "Corkscrew device retrieves clots, quickly reverses stroke damage," will be transmitted to television stations via satellite on Feb 5th. Contact Julie Del Barto at (214) 706-1330.
Name badges:
You must wear your badge while in the media center and to gain access to news conferences, sessions and exhibits. Guest Media badges will not allow access to the working newsroom area.
