In the article, which is also in the May/June issue of Health Affairs, they address why Americans pay much more for health care than their foreign counterparts. Dr. Anderson, Hussey and co-author Uwe E. Reinhardt, PhD, with the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, found that the second-highest spending country, Switzerland, spent only 68 percent as much as the United States on health care per capita.
