Earth Institute at Columbia University hosts State of the Planet 2004

Linking global decision-making to the best of sustainability science, the Earth Institute at Columbia University will convene the third biennial State of the Planet conference on March 29-30, 2004. The two-day conference, hosted by Earth Institute Director Jeffrey D. Sachs, brings together an international roster of influential and innovative thinkers discussing ideas to ensure delivery of basic needs such as water, energy, health, and nutrition to all the world's people. Day 1 of the conference is a discussion forum open to the public. Day 2 is working sessions open to invited experts only.
