Major breakthroughs offer hope to 1.5 million Americans suffering from peanut allergy

The press conference features Donald Y. M. Leung, MD, PhD, from National Jewish Medical and Research Center, Hugh A. Sampson, MD, from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and Anne Munoz-Furlong, Founder of the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network, discussing the latest research presented in the July Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. The seven studies report on breakthroughs in the diagnosis and understanding of severe peanut allergy, offering hope to the 1.5 million Americans suffering from the disease.
