Media invitation: The Movement Disorder Society's 7th International Congress

Members of the media are invited to attend the 7th International Congress of Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders, November 10-14 in Miami, Florida, USA. The Congress will bring together nearly 2,500 neurologists, basic scientists and other movement specialists from 30 countries, providing an unparallel international forum for the discussion of movement disorders.

Sessions will cover:

  • Updates in genetics, neuroimaging, ground-breaking surgical treatment of movement disorders, and other topics.
  • Clinical and basic aspects of movement disorders.
  • Medical and surgical therapies.
  • Public health issues.

In addition, Ms. Janet Reno is scheduled to speak on perspectives related to research efforts, treatment and management options for Parkinson's disease, during the Opening Ceremony of the Congress on Sunday, November 10.

Members of the media may register without charge for the Congress. A media room with interview space, computers, modem lines, telephones and facsimile services will be available on-site for members of the media.
