National Chemistry Week celebrates health and wellness in Washington, D.C., area

tect diabetes. A former president of the American Chemical Society, Dr. Free will offer unique insights from the perspective of a scientist and inventor. Participants will have the opportunity to try hands-on science activities.

Volunteers from the American Chemical Society, American Chemistry Council and the Chemical Society of Washington will conduct a student assembly followed by hands-on activities for 220 students of the school. The students will learn the importance of exercise from health instructor Harold Sanco, and delve into testing artificial urine samples, as well as making slime.
