The topic of the conference is "Combinatorial Chemistry: New Methods, New Discoveries." Registration is still available for the conference, but space is limited.
This conference is designed to benefit research scientists in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries who work in the area of combinatorial or parallel synthesis and who use solution or solid-phase techniques. In addition, scientists working in a number of fields may find the conference session topics significantly relevant to their work. Those areas are medicinal chemistry, lead optimization, process chemistry, natural product chemistry, and genomics and proteomics.
Anthony Czarnik, editor, Journal of Combinatorial Chemistry, Michael Organ, York University, Canada, and A. Ganesan, University of Southampton, United Kingdom, are chairs for the conference.
ACS ProSpectives is a series of small conferences for senior-level industry scientists. Each conference examines a field's important topics through presentations by its foremost researchers.
Attendance at the conferences is limited to 200 or fewer to facilitate easy interaction among the speakers and those attending. From 20-25 leading experts in each field participate in a given conference. The conferences are in addition to the Society's two national meetings and its eight to ten regional meetings held every year.
