Results of an exciting new cancer study will be announced Monday (March 29) at a news conference at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. The briefing will begin at 2 p.m. in the Plaza Level Conference Room at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Note: This story is embargoed until 5 p.m. EST Monday. The journal Nature Medicine will publish the findings Tuesday in its April issue.

UNC-CH faculty members Drs. Albert S. Baldwin Jr., associate professor of biology, and James C. Cusack Jr., assistant professor of surgery, will describe the research, which they believe could lead to more successful cancer therapy.

Reporters can park in the Health Affairs Parking Deck on Manning Drive across from UNC Hospitals. Lineberger, a red brick building with a small dome, lies just across West Drive southwest of the parking deck. Please use the Plaza Level entrance, not the steps.
