eDocAmerica launches Hispanic Website for members

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (March 7, 2005) -- eDocAmerica, the web-based provider of doctor-consumer consultations online, today announced that it has launched a Spanish-language version of its website for its increasing number of Hispanic users.

"With the growth of our business to 300,000 covered participants, which is actually an estimated 750,000 when family members are included, we recently expanded the site and made it more navigable for our users," said Robbie Linn, eDocAmerica's president. "Also, in response to the increasing needs of our Hispanic clients, we launched a Spanish version of our online services."

eDocAmerica was founded in 1997 by Dr. Charles Smith, executive associate dean and a Family and Community Medicine professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. The company provides consumers with secure access to board-certified physicians via the Internet. There is no co-pay for the service, and access is unlimited. Consumers can communicate with a physician 24/7 without having to go to the doctor's office and sit in a waiting room. The service is saving money for corporations, associations and insurance companies, as well as their employees and members.

The Morgan White Group, eDocAmerica's largest international client, recently selected eDocAmerica for its business clients in Latin America. Morgan White, headquartered in Miami, Fla., is a leading third-party insurance administrator in the international medical insurance field. It provides healthcare insurance policies throughout Latin America.

Raul Pozo, Sr., president of Morgan White's international division, said, "The response to eDocAmerica is excellent. The launch of eDoc in Spanish was a must for us, due to the nature of our international business. Our block of business in all of Latin America, not just South America, is Spanish-speaking, and of course, having the service in the employees' language is of great service to them and to us."
