The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) will host its 2007 Annual Convention and Preconvention Program over St Patrick's Day weekend at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City, New York, Thursday through Sunday, March 1518, 2007.
During the 4-day meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to learn the latest research in medical ultrasound, network with colleagues from around the world, enhance their professional skills, and view the newest advancements in ultrasound technology while earning up to 33.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits
More than 100 courses in various ultrasound specialty areas will be offered throughout the convention. Participants may choose from many different course formats suited to fit their individual learning needs: categorical courses, scientific sessions, Meet-the-Professor sessions, Matrix Modules (a combination of categorical and scientific presentations), Just Images sessions, and Film Panel sessions--and new this year, interactive audience response sessions.
Several hands-on scanning sessions, which are favorites among attendees, will be offered in 3-dimensional volume manipulation in obstetrics and gynecology, emergency ultrasound, interventional ultrasound, musculoskeletal ultrasound, neurosonology, and vascular ultrasound.
In addition to the course offerings, the 2007 convention will feature scientific poster exhibits, commercial exhibits, and Case-of-the-Day ultrasound challenges, as well as the William J. Fry Memorial Lecture and awards session and Forbidden Broadway as the opening musical entertainment.
