Fifteen-year hunt uncovers gene behind 'pseudothalidomide' syndrome

Authors on the report are Hugo Vega, of the Institute of Genetics at the National University of Colombia, Bogot; Norio Sakai, Chengzhe Xu, Keiichi Ozono and Koji Inui of Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine; Quinten Waisfisz, Djoke van Gosliga and Hans Joenje of VU University Medical Center, Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Miriam Gordillo and Ethylin Jabs of the McKusick-Nathans Institute of Genetic Medicine at Johns Hopkins; Itaru Yanagihara and Minoru Yamada of the Osaka Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health; and Hlya Kayserili of Istanbul University. Vega and Gordillo studied at the Osaka Graduate School of Medicine, also.
