National Academies advisory: TCE health risks

ASSESSING THE HUMAN HEALTH RISKS OF TRICHLOROETHYLENE: KEY SCIENTIFIC ISSUES, a new report from the National Academies' National Research Council, reviews current data on cancer and other health risks associated with exposure to this environmental contaminant, often referred to as TCE. The report also looks at methods for assessing and characterizing the risks and whether enough data exists for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to complete a human health risk assessment. The report will be released Thursday, July 27, at 4 p.m. EDT.
