Press update: The World Congress of Cardiology 2006, Barcelona Spain, September 2-6

For those who cannot attend the World Congress of Cardiology 2006, in Barcelona from 2-6 September, we have arranged for press releases from all official press conferences to be posted on the ESC website. These press releases are written by the cardiologists and describe the findings they have presented at the congress.

Visit here to see the press conference schedule (http://www.escardio.org/vpo/Press+Area/Press+Conferences/) and here (http://www.escardio.org/vpo/Press+Area/Press+Releases/2006+World+Congress+Press+Releases/) for the press releases as they become available.

The World Congress of Cardiology is the largest medical meeting in Europe and is one of the leading news-generators in cardiology. This year's theme is Ageing and Cardiovascular Disease and there will be several scientific sessions about this important topic.

Online registration has closed but it is still possible to register on-site in Barcelona. Bring a press pass or a letter of assignment and identification to the press registration desk at the Fira Gran Via 2.
